ClaBiTs LTD Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how users can request the deletion of personal data associated with Jara, the payment and collection platform owned and operated by ClaBiTs LTD, a company registered in Nigeria. Jara's WhatsApp Business communications are sent under the display name “Collet.” This page is publicly accessible and does not require logging in.

How to Request Data Deletion

1. Send an email to support@clabits.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.
2. Include your full name and the phone number associated with your Jara account.
3. If your request relates to WhatsApp communications, include the WhatsApp number used to contact Jara (Collet) at +234 816 682 3012.

Or send a WhatsApp message containing the words “DELETE MY DATA” to +234 816 682 3012 from the number associated with your Jara interactions.

How We Process Your Request

1. You submit a deletion request by email or WhatsApp as described above.
2. ClaBiTs LTD verifies the request where necessary to confirm it relates to your own data.
3. Eligible data is deleted or anonymized.
4. Any legally required records are retained where applicable (see below).
5. You receive confirmation once the request has been processed, where appropriate.

Data That May Be Deleted

Where applicable and technically eligible, a verified request may result in deletion or anonymization of:

• Account profile information
• Stored contact details
• WhatsApp conversation records and message metadata associated with the Collet WhatsApp Business account
• WhatsApp identifiers/profile information associated with your account
• Other Meta/WhatsApp Platform Data associated with your account
• Non-essential usage and analytics data associated with your account

Data That May Be Retained

Certain records may be retained even after a deletion request, where legally required or otherwise permitted, including:

• Transaction and accounting records
• Records required to be kept by applicable law or regulation
• Fraud-prevention and security records
• Records needed for an active or reasonably anticipated dispute or legal matter

Not all data is necessarily erased immediately — retained categories above, and any backups containing them, follow their own retention requirements rather than being erased on request.

Processing Time

ClaBiTs LTD aims to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 business days and complete verified requests within 30 days, subject to applicable legal obligations. This is a target timeframe, not a guarantee for every request.
